I am Nature
Think like a wave
not forward and backward
but rather gaining power
from the cyclical motion.
Periods of rest and then
rev, periods that may feel
like withdrawal but truly
it is for the pulse
of its own power. All things
in nature, follow this wave
and I am a thing of nature.
My life
a captivating, continuous crashing
an aggressive tumbling, trapping
my body and thrashing it around,
turning it over again and again until
I lose track of up and down
and front and back, until
the linear track of my mind
becomes so jumbled
it has no choice
but to relinquish
its form and flow
in continuum with the wave.
I am a thing of nature
and this wave trying to captain
my life is not an external source,
but rather my innate being.
I am cyclical. The linear
line trying to invade my mind
has been carefully placed there
by the world, the society that I
dwell in. Carefully placed,
but securely fastened.
So, the wave within me
becomes choppy and unbalanced
but never does it pause.
A constant lapping against
the shore, a faint reminder
of what I am.
